Rising food costs, combined with inefficiencies in both private markets and government aid programs, have contributed to a global food crisis. With more than 60 years of experience and operations in 71 countries, CARE offers real-world solutions that can help end the food crisis and enable people in poor communities to become more self-sufficient. We propose a new hunger-fighting strategy that addresses the root causes of hunger and poverty in the world’s poorest communities. Our solutions will modernize U.S. foreign assistance programs to get better results for the people who need aid – and the taxpayers who support it.
