Sarah Bramley

Job Title: Program Associate
Sarah Bramley provides program support to CARE's country offices. She also collaborates with country offices to design programs and write proposals for funding. She is actively involved in establishing Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Education as program priorities for CARE. Sarah has a bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, and Society and an MPH in Global Health with a focus on Community Health and Development from Emory University. Sarah has worked in community based child survival in Guatemala, in water advocacy with the Safe Water System at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and in program support to the Millennium Water Alliance. Most recently she served as International Program Manager at WaterPartners International.
Mona Byrkit
Cluster: Sexual and Reproductive Health
Job Title: RHTF Project Director and Sexual and Reproductive Health Team Leader
Mona Byrkit oversees the Sexual and Reproductive Health Team at CARE. She provides technical leadership and support to programs worldwide and directs the Reproductive Health Trust Fund (RHTF), a $15.5 million endowment created by CARE USA and USAID to build institutional capacity in reproductive health and foster learning and innovation. Mona has over 18 years of experience in the management of domestic and international health programs. Prior to joining CARE, Mona was deputy director of the USAID global family planning and HIV/AIDS project, PRIME II, at IntraHealth International. She served as assistant population advisor for USAID in Turkey and was a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal. Mona received her master's degree in public health from the University of California at Berkeley in maternal and child health with an international focus.
Solomon Ejigu
Cluster: Health Unit/Finance
Job Title: Financial Analyst
Solomon Ejigu provides financial information and accounting functions for the Health Unit. Solomon prepares and submits financial reports for health projects (including global central grants) to donor agencies, coordinates and assists staff in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and conducts quarterly fund portfolio and financial review meetings for all teams within the Health Unit (children's health, sexual and reproductive health, CARE-CDC Health Initiative, Polio Eradication Initiative, and water). Solomon also presents analytical financial information on the Reproductive Health Trust Fund investment activities to the oversight management meeting and provides support to program staff in financial and administrative aspects of grants and contracts. Solomon holds a bachelor degree in Accounting, is a Certified Internal Auditor, and a candidate for a CPA. Prior to joining CARE, Solomon worked for UNICEF/Ethiopia, USAID/Ethiopia, and CRS/Ethiopia in the areas of finance/admin, Title II programming, and internal auditing.
Angelita Fasnacht
Cluster: Water, Sanitation and Environmental Health
Job Title: Grants Manager
Angelita Fasnacht is the Grants Manager for the Millennium Water Alliance, housed at CARE. She is a civil engineer with 9 years of experience in Environmental & Civil Engineering, Grant Management, and Engineering Management, specializing in Water and Community Health. Previously, she was the Civil Engineering Advisor to the Governor of Huila (Columbia), where duties included management of long-term development projects, direct community involvement and resource management. She also served as the Managing Director for the Government of Huila's Unidad De Agua, and negotiated and managed grants and contracts with many NGOs inside of Colombia, including UNICEF. She is currently enrolled in Emory University's Master's in International Public Health program.
Reema Jossy Gillian
Cluster: CCHI
Job title: Technical Advisor
Reema Jossy provides technical assistance to HIV/AIDS and safe water initiatives supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Reema's responsibilities include fundraising for HIV/AIDS programs, assisting country offices with annual work plans, monitoring and evaluation, providing support for training and capacity building activities, and developing partnerships in HIV/AIDS. She has an MPH degree and over eight years of experience working with non-governmental and federal organizations in HIV/AIDS program development and management, partnership building, strategic planning, and fundraising.
Susan Igras
Cluster: Sexual and Reproductive Health
Job Title: Senior Advisor, Sexual and Reproductive Health
Susan Igras provides technical and programmatic oversight to CARE's sexual and reproductive health activities, including advancing best practices in sexual and reproductive health programming and strengthening programmatic depth through technical guidance and liaising with counterpart agencies. Susan also oversees CARE's participation in the ACQUIRE program, supported by USAID. Her technical specialty areas include community-based reproductive health (family planning and HIV/AIDS), reproductive health in post-conflict settings, addressing harmful yet socially condoned practices such as female genital cutting, district health systems strengthening, and the use of participatory approaches in research and program planning/evaluation. Susan received her Master's degree in public health from Tulane University, with an emphasis on program planning, evaluation, and policy analysis. She has over 20 years of international health experience, serving in a variety of technical and management positions in Africa, the Caribbean, and the US.
Milly Kayongo

Job Title: Senior Advisor, Sexual and Reproductive Health
Milly Kayongo is a Maternal Health Advisor where she provides technical and programmatic support for projects in diverse settings to promote maternal, newborn, and child health. Milly is a physician with clinical background in OB-GYN and her professional experiences spans almost 10 years in international health, particularly in Africa where she's worked on Maternal and Children's Health , youth reproductive health and HIV/AIDS. Milly has a Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and is a member on decision-making body of the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood.
Henrietta Kuoh
Cluster: Sexual and Reproductive Health
Job Title: Program Associate, ACQUIRE Project
Henrietta Kuoh provides programmatic and financial backstopping support to CARE's partnership in the ACQUIRE project which address reproductive health and family planning services. She also works to strategically disseminate information and resources to CARE's field offices and external constituents. Henrietta has a Master of Public Health from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science from McGill University in Canada. In 2004-2005, Henrietta worked with CARE on a multi-country Female Genital Cutting abandonment study.
Peter Lochery
Cluster: Water, Sanitation, and Environmental Health
Job Title: Director of Water
Peter Lochery is the Water Team Leader. With more than 20 years experience in water and sanitation programming, Peter is responsible for developing the strategies that ensure that CARE's projects have sustainable impact on poor people's health and their social and economic well-being. Peter provides support to country offices as they implement and facilitate water programming. Peter has testified before the US House of Representatives Committee on International Relations hearing on the global water crisis: evaluating US strategies to enhance access to safe water and sanitation. Peter represents CARE as a founding board member of the Millennium Water Alliance and as a partner in the Center for Global Safe Water. Peter is a founding board member of the Water Advocates. Prior to joining CARE, he worked for a consulting firm and then the UNDP-World Bank Water and Sanitation Program, in the Middle East, West Africa and South Asia.
Dorothy Ngalame

Job Title: Executive Assistant
As Executive Assistant for the Health Unit, Dorothy Ngalame provides administrative support for all Unit clusters (Water, Sanitation and Environmental Health, Polio Eradication, CARE-CDC Health Initiative, Children's Health, and Sexual and Reproductive Health). Her responsibilities include serving as the point person for all incoming communications to the Health Unit, arranging travel for all the health unit travelers, obtaining visas, passports renewals, preparing correspondence for visa applications, keeping the Director's schedule, preparing contracts, developing staff meeting and Coordinating Committee meeting minutes, organizing staff meetings and retreats.
Luis Ortiz Echevarria

Job Title: Program Associate, Sexual and Reproductive Health
Luis Ortiz Echevarria provides programmatic and administrative support to CARE's Sexual and Reproductive Health team and programs worldwide. He is responsible for coordinating various SRH efforts including grants management, external communications, and liaising with other units at CARE. Luis holds a BA in International and Russian/FSU Studies from American University in Washington, D.C.
Whitney Pyles

Job Title: Program Associate, Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies Initiative
As Program Associate for CARE's Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies Initiative, Whitney Pyles supports three projects on infant and young child feeding in field sites and global efforts to promote best practices for children's health in emergencies. Whitney's responsibilities include improving CARE's programmatic response and experience in feeding in emergencies through training, implementation, and documentation and dissemination of best practices. Whitney holds a BS in nutrition and a master's degree in public health. She has been working in the field of nutrition for seven years and has a special interest in health in humanitarian emergencies and health and human rights.
Khrist Roy

Job Title: Technical Advisor
As technical advisor of CARE's child health cluster, Dr. Khrist Roy leads CARE's initiative for child survival. Khrist's technical expertise is in project planning, implementation and evaluation for child survival programs. He also works with practitioners on children's nutrition and on infectious diseases. Khrist is a physician as well as a public health professional. He brings to his work 18 years of experience in public health encompassing child survival, infectious diseases, family planning and epidemiology.
Sanjay Sinho
Cluster: Health Unit
Job Title: Health Unit Director
As the Health Unit Director, Dr. Sanjay Sinho oversees the health portfolio, with projects in reproductive health, child survival, infectious disease, polio eradication and environmental health. Sanjay leads CARE's strategic planning, outreach, and advocacy efforts for health. He also oversees CARE's capacity building efforts in the field of health including overseeing the development, production, and dissemination of health training materials for health teams in the field. Sanjay has 18 years of experience coordinating health programs, including over 10 years of experience at CARE, five of which were spent directing health programs in India. Sanjay's area of expertise is Child Survival. He has a Doctor of Medicine in Pediatrics from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, India and a Master of Arts in Sociology from Bhopal University, Bhopal, India.
Mariana Stephens

Job Title: Program Associate
Mariana Stephens is a Program Associate with the Child Health team where she provides management and financial backstopping for CARE USAID centrally funded Child Survival cooperative agreements. Mariana is a certified health education specialist and her professional experiences spans almost 8 years in the area of public health. Mariana has a Masters in Public Health from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and was a Peace Corps volunteer in both Zaire and Mali.
Jaime Stewart
Cluster: Sexual and Reproductive Health
Job Title: Technical Advisor for Learning
Jaime Stewart works with the SRH Team to identify key themes and innovations across the portfolio and coordinates a process to document and share them in order to advance best practices in CARE's SRH programs as well as promote CARE as technical leaders in SRH. In order to promote organizational learning, Jaime maintains a network of SRH field staff to share information and to build their capacity to delivery quality SRH services. Jaime has a Masters in International Public Health with a focus on Nutrition. She has ten years of experience in international public health, eight of which are in Sexual and Reproductive Health project management.
