In response to UN reports about escalation of intra-ethnic fighting in the South of Sudan (involving both attacks on local garrisons and on villages and camps in the rural areas of the state), and consequent arrival of large numbers of displaced persons to areas around the Unity State of Southern Sudan, a UN/INGO/GOS assessment team representing CARE Sudan has be participated in that assessment.
