Project Description:
According to the final report on needs assessment for safe motherhood in Rwanda published by Ministry of Health and UNFPA in June 1998, CARE proposes to implement an emergency obstetric care project in three health districts of Gitarama Prefecture: Kabgayi , Remera -Rukoma and Gitwe.
The project aims to increase health birth outcomes. Specific goals include: a) increased access to quality EOC Services as indicated by met need for obstetric care services b) increased number of facilities that can provide quality Basic EOC services.
